حلقة هذا الأسبوع عن الطريق الى الولجة 

انتصر المسلمون في معركة الأبلة أو المذار أو نهر الدم، و هرب من تبقي من الفرس علي الأسطول الذي كان مرابطا علي شاطئ نهر الفرات، و وصلت هذة الأنباء الأليمة لملك الفرس أدرشير الثالث الذي استشاط غضبا، فقد كان لا يتصور أبدأ أن مجموعة من العربان (كما كان يتخيلهم) يقهرون جيشين للفرس و يقتلون هرمز و قارن بن قرباس و يسيطرون علي جنوب العراق، فبدأ يستشعر الجدية في الأمر فاستدعي كبار القادة بالعاصمة و قرروا تكوين جيشين كبيرين علي وجه السرعة و ارسالهما لصد المسلمين عن التقدم.

و بالفعل ففي أيام قليلة تكون الجيش الأول و كان علي رأسه القائد الفارسي أندرزغار و كان يتولي حكم خراسان و كان الفرس قد قرروا الاستعانة ببعض القبائل العربية الموالية لهم ضد المسلمين، كانت الأستخبارات الفارسية قد نقلت الأخبار أن المسلمين يقصدون الحيرة، لذا فقد توقع القادة الفرس أن يتحرك المسلمون غرب الفرات شمالا قاصدين الحيرة، لذا فقد قرر الفرس صد المسلمين عند الولجة، و فور تكون الجيش الأول الفارسي، تقرر تحريكه الي الولجة ليلحق به الجيش الثاني بعد تكوينه. 

بالمقابل نقلت الاستطلاعات الاسلامية الأخبار لخالد بن الوليد عما يحدث في العاصمة و أن الجيش الفارسي الأول قد تحرك بالفعل نحو الولجة، هنا استشعر خالد بحسه العسكري أنه يجب مواجهة الجيش الفارسي الأول قبل وصول الجيش الثاني حتي لا يجتمعا علي المسلمين فيصبح الأمر كارثيا، كان قوام جيش المسلمين الجاهز للتحرك ١٥ ألف مقاتل، بينما جيش أندرزغار حوالي ١٠٠ ألف مقاتل، و بالرغم من ذلك فلم يضيع خالد الوقت و قرر التحرك نحو  الولجة لملاقاة أندرزغار.

تحرك جيش أندرزغار من العاصمة عابرا نهر دجلة متحركا الي الجنوب الغربي ثم عبر نهر الفرات و عسكر بالفعل عند الولجة في وادي بين جبلين، و وصل خالد بن الوليد و جيشه و استعد الجميع للمعركة، هنا خطر لخالد فكرة عبقرية، فقرر محاصرة جيش الفرس من كل جانب، فقرر تحريك فرقتين من الجيش قوام كل واحدة ٢٥٠٠ مقاتل ليعبروا خلف جيش الفرس و يعسكروا هناك حتي يعطيهم خالد الإشارة فيهجمون ، حينها يكون الفرس محاصرين و يكون القضاء عليهم أسهل.

This week’s episode "on the way to Al Walaja"

The Muslims won the battle of Al-Oubollah, Al-Mathar, or the River of Blood, and the remaining Persians fled on the fleet that was stationed on the shore of the Euphrates River, and this sad news reached the Persian king Adrashir III, who was furious, as he never imagined that a group of bedouins (as he imagined them) conquer two armies of the Persians and kill Hormuz and Quarin Bin Quirbas and take control of southern Iraq, so he began to feel the seriousness of the matter, so he summoned the top commanders in the capital and decided to form two large armies quickly and send them to deter the Muslims from progress.   

Indeed, in a few days, the first army was formed, and it was headed by the Persian commander Andersgarh, and he was taking over the rule of Khurasan, and the Persians had decided to seek the help of some Arab tribes loyal to them against the Muslims, the Persian intelligence had reported the news that the Muslims intended to invade Al-Hirah, so the Persian leaders expected that the Muslims will move to North through the west of the Euphrates forward to Al-Hirah, so the Persians decided to repel the Muslims at Al-Walaja, and just the first Persian army was formed, it was decided to move it to Al-Walaja to be followed by the second army after its formation.

On the other hand, Islamic surveys reported news to Khaled Bin Al-Walid about what is happening in the capital and that the First Persian Army had already moved towards Al-Walaja, here Khaled sensed his military sense that the first Persian army had to be confronted before the arrival of the second one not to be joined against the Muslims, so the matter would become disastrous. The actual Muslim Army ready to mobilize was about 15,000 fighters, while Andersgarh’s army had about 100,000 fighters. Despite this, Khaled wasted no time and decided to move towards Al Walaja to meet Andersgarh.

Andersgarh’s army moved from the capital, across the Dijlah River, moving to the southwest, then across the Euphrates River, and was already camped at Al Walaja in a valley between two mountains. Khaled Bin Al-Walid and his army arrived and everyone prepared for the battle. Here, Khaled risked a genius idea, so he decided to surround the Persian army from all sides, so he decided to move two millitary groups, each of 2,500 fighters, to cross behind the Persian army and camp there until Khaled gave them a signal to attack, then the Persians would be trapped and it would be easier to eliminate them.
